Calvin Bud Grier, Jr., 69, of Harrisburg, PA passed away on January 9, 2026, at his residence. Bud, was the oldest son of the late Deacon Calvin David Grier, Sr. and the late Eva Louise Glasper-Grier. He was also predeceased by his sister Letitia, brother Mark and stepmother, Minister Edith Rose Grier.
Calvin served in the United States Marine Corps and was a welder at both Bethlehem Steel and Fruehauf Trailers.
Bud is survived by his children; Calvin Bud Grier, III, Dahia Grier, Jacoby Jackson and Janice Baldwin, 6 grandchildren; JayNi and Janaya Brookin, Italy Grier, Jacoby, Jr., Jillian and Jordyn Jackson and 2 great-grandchildren; Miliana and Chance Wise. He is also survived by 3 brothers; Jerome Glasper, Sheldon Grier and Christopher Grier, 4 sisters; Mary Ross, Loretta Grier-Roebuck, Leslie Kennedy and Tracie Grier, his favorite aunt; Sally Petty, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Calvin's family is hosting a Memorial Service to celebrate his life at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, Mount Olive Baptist Church, 1331 South 14th St., Harrisburg, PA 17104.
