Calvin Hadley Mann, our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on February 2, 2025, at the age of 82. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 1, 1942. He grew up in Bountiful, Utah and married Cheryl Heaton on March 30, 1962, in the Salt Lake City Temple. They had seven children together, and family was the most important thing to him. He loved being in the temple and had a strong testimony of the Gospel.
He loved to tell vivid and imaginative stories to everyone around him and would often perform his own versions of songs and had his own creative way of dancing. Whether playing games, traveling with his family, eating his favorite ice cream, or simply spending time with his loved ones and dog, Kona, Calvin made every moment memorable.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl, his children, Brett (Annette), Bruce, Darren, Amy (Darren), Christopher (Melissa), Jana (Isileli), and Jonathan (Krystin); 19 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, brother Eugene (Rebecca) and brother-in-law Norman LaPearle. He was preceded in death by his father Lane Cook Mann, mother Rose Jane Hadley Mann, and twin sister Colleen LaPearle.
There will be a viewing February 7th from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Murray South Stake Center located at 5735 South Fashion Boulevard. The funeral will be held on February 8th at 10:30am with a viewing prior from 9:00am-10:00am. Calvin was given 15 extra years to be with his family due to his heart transplant. In lieu of donations, the family encourages you to consider being an organ donor.
