Calvin McClain Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McCarn Funeral Service - Talihina on Feb. 23, 2026.
Calvin Millard McClain passed from this life on February 22, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 16, 1947, in Tuskahoma, Oklahoma, to Margaret Lillian (Walker) and Calvin Millard McClain Sr.

After graduating high school, Calvin began his career with the U.S. Forest Service, where he worked with dedication. On January 3, 1966, he married the love of his life, Tyccoa Sprouse, and they began a life together that would span six decades. This blessed union brought forth three sons: Gene, Brian, and Kevin.

Calvin was a devoted family man who never missed a ball game his boys or grandchildren were involved in and took pride in being present for every milestone. He cherished his wife Barbara and was known for always loving her cooking. Calvin was a passionate sports fan, especially of the University of Oklahoma Sooners and his beloved Talihina Golden Tigers. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, embracing the natural world with the same enthusiasm he gave to his family and friends.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his legacy of devotion, loyalty, and warmth will live on in the hearts of his family and community.

Calvin is survived by his wife, Tyccoa of the home; sons, Kevin McClain and Brian McClain (Julie); grandchildren, Breanna Warren (Michael), Skylar McClain, Christian McClain (Katie), Harrison McClain (Lydee), Hailey McClain, Madison McClain, Benjamin McClain, and Jackson McClain; great grandchildren, Claire Warren, Luke Warren, Berri James McClain, as well as one on the way; one brother, Wayne McClain; as well as numerous extended family and a host of friends.

Calvin is preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Margaret McClain; one son, Calvin Eugene (Gene) McClain; and five sisters, Melba, Dee, Ann, Ida, and Sue.

Pallbearers are Christian McClain, Harrison McClain, Benjamin McClain, Jackson McClain, Michael Warren, and Brayden Arroyos

Services will be on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 1:00PM at the Talihina Nazarene Church with Bro. Brian McClain and Bro. Kevin McClain officiating.
