Calvin Howard Minnifield

Calvin Howard was born on November 3rd, 1959, to Georgia Lee and Hosea Minnifield. He was the youngest of four children. Calvin gave his life to Christ at an early age. He was educated in the Metro Nashville Public School System. Calvin was a beloved father, grandfather, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was a beacon of light in every room he entered. Our dear Calvin passed away surrounded by love and family. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and strength that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Athletic by nature and passionate in spirit, Calvin spent much of his youth and adult life on the baseball field and basketball court-places where his competitive drive and team spirit truly shined. But beyond his love for sports, Calvin was a devoted father, a true girl dad-who never missed a chance to cheer for his girls.... His daughters were his pride, his purpose, and his greatest joy.

Calvin was an avid reader with sharp wit and a charm that was effortless. Conversations with him were never dull, he could make you laugh, think, and feel heard, all in the same breath. His personality was magnetic. People naturally gravitated toward him, drawn by his authenticity and the way he made everyone feel welcome.

Whether sharing stories, cracking jokes, or simply listening with his whole heart, Calvin had a gift for making others feel seen. He didn't just enter a room, he lit it up.

Though his time with us was far too short, Calvin's impact will be everlasting. He will be remembered for the joy he brought, the love he gave, and the lives he touched with his beautiful spirit.

He will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always celebrated.
