Frances Carolyn Williams was born on March 18, 1937, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Bessie Mai Jones and Alphonso Darden. She peacefully departed this life on Sunday, August 24, 2025.

Frances received her education through the Metro Davidson County School System. Over the years, she served her community with dedication and care through her work at Baptist Hospital, Warner Elementary School, and both St. Henry and St. Joseph Catholic Schools.

A woman of deep faith, Frances accepted Christ into her heart at an early age. Her love for God and her family was the foundation of her life. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great mother, raising not only her own children but also her grandchildren, and she was a source of love and stability for many others. Her home was always open to any child in need.

Frances found joy in reading her Bible and spending time with family. She possessed a quiet, unintentional sense of humor that brought smiles to those around her. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was proceeded in death by: Mother: Bessie Mae Jones, Father: Alphonso Darden, Step Father: Johnny White, Husband: Ellis Williams, Brother: Charles Jones, Son: Burtram Paul Williams, Grandsons: Ricci Thompson, Terry Jordan, Granddaughters: Shimese Davis, Dominque Richardson, Great-Grandson: Quint Williams and Great granddaughter J'oule Davis.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Carolyn Jones, Mary Ann Davis (Jimmy Lee Knight), Charles (Rose), Tina, Bessie, Ellis (Rogel). A host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Close friends: Elmira Thomas and Iva Garrett.
