Calvin Nara

Promptly at 11:00 am on Monday, July 11, 2022, Calvin W. Nara, husband, and father boarded the final train of life at the age of 90 due to natural causes incident to age. Cal was born January 5, 1932, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Walfred A. and Ellen M. Nara. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War earning the nickname, Snake Eyes. Eventually, he established a name in the mining and construction field traveling around the world to different job sites. On May 1, 1964, he married Vandra G. Nara and raised two daughters, Joanna (John) and May Linn (Justin) and two sons, Gregory, and Jon (Stephanie). He is survived by his wife, four children and eight grandchildren: Robert (Kenzie), Allison, Travis, Raellen, Ramzee, Mitzi, Josie, and Lexi. His parents, Walfred A. Nara and Ellen M. Nara, preceded Cal in death. He was a masterful teller of embellished stories sure to bring a smile to your face. He resided in McGill, NV the last 30 years and his cremains will rest near the top of Indian Creek Basin of the Schell Creek Mountain Range.
