Calvin Sanders Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carrillo Funeral Homes - Dallas on Mar. 27, 2026.
Calvin Wayne Sanders, 65, went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on July 13, 1960, to Arthur Lee Sanders and Wanda Jo Burch.

Calvin was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Earl Sanders.

He is lovingly survived by his son Antwon Kimble and daughter Yelena Patrice Kimble, as well as his cherished grandchildren Keiyna Campbell, Ru'kiya Campbell, and A'Zaya Kimble, whose lives he deeply touched. He also leaves behind a large and loving family including his siblings on his mother's side: Jimmy R. Heath, Joseph M. Burch, Elbert G. Burch, Eric C. Burch, Joyce M. Burch, and Wanda A. Burch; and on his father's side: Brian Sanders, Timothy Sanders, and Renée Sanders. In addition, Calvin is remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends.

Calvin proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1979 to 1982, achieving the rank of Land Corporal before receiving an honorable discharge. His time in the military shaped him into a disciplined and resilient man, values he carried throughout his life.

He was a hardworking, adventurous soul who found joy in life's simple moments. Calvin loved being outdoors, especially taking walks, and spending time with those he cared about. Known for his kind heart and compassionate nature, he often put others before himself.

Calvin had a vibrant personality and a sharp wit. He loved to laugh, joke, and bring smiles to those around him. His favorite saying was "In a fight come with it," reflected his loyalty and fearless spirit. He was intelligent, thoughtful, and always took the time to explain his actions and stand by his word.

He had a love for sweets-especially buttermilk pie-and enjoyed expressing himself through his unique style, often wearing his favorite ball caps. His favorite colors were blue and gray.

Calvin Wayne Sanders will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.

"Rest in peace, Calvin. Your love, strength, and laughter will never be forgotten."
