Calvin Orval "CJ" Steuber Jr. of Coon Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Born on January 20, 1978, to Joy Zeman Steuber and the late Calvin Orval Steuber Sr. in Minneapolis, MN.
CJ loved people and talking with people about all sorts of topics. He was a school bus driver who truly enjoyed being a positive and cheerful part of the children's day- and the children loved him. He was also a screen printer who designed and created word art, signs, T-shirts, and more for many MN organizations and businesses.
He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He cherished time spent with family and friends during vacations, family events, and his children's school events. He attended all of his children's school events. His passions were creating beautiful items in his woodworking shop, working with computers and new tech gadgets, and connecting with people.
He loved sharing and teaching his girls about his passions. He spent hours with Hailey showing her how to create art with her hands in screen printing. He taught her life skills to help her become self-sufficient and independent, such as changing a tire by herself. Delaney loved her time in the garage with her dad. She enjoyed working on her "project" while CJ was working on his. Delaney loved learning about the tools and how she could use them herself. His motto with his girls was, "You can do it on your own, but I'll be there to catch you if you fall."
CJ is survived by his wife Courtney Steuber and his two daughters: Hailey Steuber and Delaney Steuber; his mother Joy Steuber and his brother Michael Steuber. He was preceded in death by his father.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of CJ. He carried on his father's love of this life-saving organization, which treats children so they can grow and thrive.
A celebration of life service will be held on February 6, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at Coon Rapids Civic Center, 11155 Robinson Drive NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433.
