Cameron Robert Girvin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of officer Cameron Robert Girvin, killed in the line of duty on February 22, 2025. While we mourn his loss, we also remember the incredible life he lived, the countless lives he touched, and the unwavering dedication he showed family, friends and community. Cam proudly served on the Virginia Beach Police Department since 2020, living out his life long dream. Cam lived life fully, could light up any room with his laugh and was extremely passionate. His kindness, bravery, and zeal for life left a lasting impression on all who knew him. In May of 2020, he married his high school sweetheart, Jessica. In August of 2025 she will be welcoming their miracle baby Paisley into the world. Cameron is predeceased by his mother (Kathryn). He will leave behind his wife (Jessica) and daughter (Paisley), his parents (Arthur and Barbara) as well as his siblings (James, Amanda, Shannon, and Connor)." A visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5033 Rouse Drive in Virginia Beach from 6pm to 9pm. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 2pm at Rock Church, 640 Kempsville Road in Virginia Beach.
