In Loving Memory of Cameron William VanDerHeyden
Cameron William VanDerHeyden, aged 57, passed away on September 30, 2024, in Hinesburg, Vermont. Born in New York, New York, Cameron was a cherished brother, uncle, and friend whose warmth and creativity touched the lives of all who knew him.
Cam is survived by his loving partner, Mandy Gilbeau, and his siblings: Michael, Glenn, Victoria, and his younger sister, Leann. He was also a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews, including his beloved grand-niece, Genevieve.
Known for his talents as a painter and landscaper, Cam embraced the role of a jack-of-all-trades, mastering many skills along the way. His creativity and dedication to his work were evident in everything he did. Friends and family alike will remember Cam for his kind spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering support. He shared countless memorable moments with his close friends Richard, Randy, and Mark, who will dearly miss him.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and nurses who provided compassionate support and care for Cam during his ten year battle with ALS.
A graveside service will take place on Saturday, September 5th, at 11 a.m. at the Bissonnette Family Cemetery on Gilman Road in Hinesburg, Vermont. Those wishing to express their condolences are invited to send flowers. Following the service, a light luncheon will be held at Christopher and Victoria's home in Hinesburg.
Cam will be remembered for his generosity, zest for life, and the joy he brought to those around him. His legacy of love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
