Camille “Candy” Winiarczyk, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at home, with her family by her side. She was born on February 20, 1943 to Henry and Evelyn (Spychalski) Sokolowski in Indiana. She married John Winiarczyk on June 2, 1962. Candy loved spending time with John and enjoyed traveling with her daughters. Her favorite pastime was baking with her grandkids, especially during the holidays. Candy was a creative and talented person. She was a gifted painter, quilter and crocheter. She gifted her kids and grandkids with beautiful quilts and afghans that will be treasured forever. She also enjoyed spending time with her shopping buddy Sharon Kalal.

 

She is survived by her husband of 62 years: John; children: Andy Winiarczyk, Brian (Sue) Winiarczyk, Dee (Phil) Gillett, Erica (Troy) Lee; grandchildren: Ashley (Tanner) Moon, Holly (Cordel) Carlsen, Brittney (Clay) Theis, Courtney (Dru) Galetka, Nicole Winiarczyk, Alec (Alex Ritzema) Gillett, Jared (Bryn Dahms) Gillett, Sean Gillett, Rachael (Parker) LeMire, Joshua (Emma) Lee; step-grandson: Ben (Elaine) Schultz; 8 great grandchildren and one on the way in April 2025.
