Harrison Orest Winiarczyk

August 20, 1945 - January 3, 2026

Age 80, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026. Born in Ukraine on August 20, 1945, Harrison immigrated to the United States in 1970 in search of new opportunity and a better life. He proudly became a United States citizen in 1974, a milestone he cherished deeply.

Harrison dedicated 36 years of his career to Walman Optical, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and quiet kindness. He retired in 2012, grateful for the friendships and memories he made along the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bazyli and Katarzyna Winiarczyk, and his brothers Bodgan, Stefan, and Adam.

Harrison is survived by Jacqueline Burns Winiarczyk; his children Natalie, Jeremiah, and Duane Winiarczyk; Anthony Bruce and Nic Winiarczyk; his sister Bogusia of Pennsylvania; his brother Waldyek of Poland; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Known affectionately as "Earst," Harrison found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, spending time at the lake, and being surrounded by family. He especially treasured the home cooked meals made by his mother in law-most notably her baked pork chops, chocolate chip cookies, and banana bread, which he spoke of often and with great fondness.

Harrison will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his devotion to family, and the quiet, steady presence he brought to every room.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
