Candice Ann Silver, better known as Candy, age 73, of Warfordsburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2025, with her loving family by her side.
Born Saturday, August 25, 1951, in Berkeley Springs, WV, she was the daughter of the late Leo Murray, Sr. and Anna Jean Shaw.
Candy attended Saint Maria Goretti Catholic High School.
She was the owner of Diehl’s Jewelry Store and worked in RV Sales.
Candy was a loving mother, wife, and friend. She will be remembered by her heartwarming smile and contagious laugh. She had a love for life, dancing, flowers, and her koi fish. She reminded us to always smile. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her devoted husband, Gary Silver, and one brother, John Murray.
Candy is survived by three daughters, Alexa Silver, Christy Waugh, and Maria Castle; seven grandchildren, Alicia Smith, Bryce Waugh, Chase Waugh, Brennan Castle, Gracie Burkett, Kyler Castle, and Micah Miller; three great grandchildren, Violet and Daxton Williams, and Caiden Waugh; and six siblings, Leo Murray, Greg Murray, Danny Murray, Theresa Funk, Tony Murray, and Connie Willard.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 12:00p.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 16 East High Street, Hancock, MD 21750. There will be a one-hour gathering of friends prior to the service from 11:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. at the church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
The children will be having a celebration of life on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 7:00p.m. to 11:00p.m. at the Holiday Inn, 301 Foxcroft Ave, Martinsburg, WV 25401; her favorite band, Sold Out will be performing in her memory. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made toward the band for the celebration.
