Candy Evans

Candy Evans, age 80, of Tyler, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025 at her home. Candy was born July 17, 1945 in Houston, Texas to parents, Ree Bacon and Ollie Sheridan Bacon. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time with her family. Candy was so full of life, always stylishly dressed, smiling and full of happiness and love. Brandy was spoiled but nothing like she did with Kash, she actually thought he could do no wrong. Her loss has created a huge empty place and she be greatly missed.

Candy is survived by daughter, Brandy Alexis Evans and fiancé, Tory Ervin of Tyler; grandson, Kash De'mon Ervin of Tyler; brother, Richard Charles Bacon and wife, Dorothy Ann of Crockett; very special children, Emerson Tyrone Colter of Crockett, Tiffoni Michelle Colter of Crockett; 100 year old maternal mother, Cardella Johnson of Houston; sister-in-law, Bobbie Pearl Bacon of Crockett; her Tyler family, Sonja Ervin of Tyler, Twunia Ervin of Tyler, Sandra Ervin of Tyler; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and including her Smith County family. She was preceded in death by husband, George E. Kelly; parents, Ollie and Ree Bacon; brothers, Selester Bacon, Edgar Gene Bacon, Jake Bacon; sister, Carrie Ann Bacon.

A memorial service for Candy Evans will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Harry Fred Scott officiating.
