Michael proudly served in the United States Marines Corps during the Vietnam War, earning numerous honors. After his military service, he continued a life of hard work - spending time in the military police and many years as a truck driver until his retirement.
Michael was married to his beloved wife, Lilliana Quarterman, for 40years. Together they raised two daughters, Jessica Rosalie (husband, Race Ussery), and Sara Jo Waits (husband, Curtis Waits). He was a proud grandfather to Nolan Michael Jansky, Leighton Jo Waits, and Chandler Lee Waits, who brought him endless joy.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the Callaway Allee Memorial Chapel in Crockett, Texas. Visitation will be at 12:30 p.m. prior to service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shiner's Children Hospital.
