Cannon Chase Murphy

Cannon Chase Murphy, age 37, of the Gulf Coast, went to be with Lord on February 18, 2022, in Moss Point, MS.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Aaron Murphy.
Cannon is survived by his father, Robert Spencer Murphy; his mother, Sherry Green Potter; his children, Harry McClain Murphy, Sara Cate Elizabeth Murphy, and Hadley Kane Murphy; his grandparents, Ann B. Murphy, Albert L. Green and Myrlin Green; his brothers, Forrest Spencer Murphy, Clinton Russell Murphy, and Hunter Reed Murphy (Amy K. Murphy); and other relatives and friends.
He was a native of Harrisburg, AL and was a graduate of Robertsdale Christian School. Cannon was employed as an HVAC Technician and had been employed at Huntington Ingalls Shipbuilding. His greatest joy was spending time with his children and he enjoyed all water sports, especially saltwater fishing. Cannon will forever be remembered as a loving father, whose children meant the world to him. Cannon had a special soul that caused his children, nieces, and nephews to gravitate to his kind heart and gentle demeanor. The children were always filled with delight when Uncle Cannon entered the room. Cannon also had a deep love and connection with the Gulf Coast. In his many years of living on the coast, Cannon developed a great admiration for the people of his coastal community. He also grew extremely fond of saltwater fishing. Cannon will be missed immensely by his family and friends. The Murphy family would like to say thank you to everyone for the outpouring of support and prayers during this difficult time. A graveside service will be held at 11 am Wednesday, March 2, 2022, in Bethel Cemetery, Brent, AL.
