Caprice Marie Walker

Caprice Marie Walker, 38 of Tallahassee, unexpectedly passed away on March 31, 2025, with her loving family by her side. She was born on August 5, 1986, in St. Petersburg, Florida to her parents Matthew and Jill Walker. Raised in Wakulla County, she was the valedictorian of the first graduating class of John Paul II Catholic High School. She studied electrical engineering and received her bachelor's degree from Cooper Union in New York City.
Caprice worked for the City of Tallahassee as an Analytics Architect in the Tech and Development Department. Caprice was an avid fisherman who enjoyed nothing more than spending the day at
St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge. She was a creative person who loved woodworking, painting,
drawing, and ceramics; and was always excited to learn a new skill.
Caprice was a devoted friend and an advocate for those often marginalized, stigmatized, and otherwise ignored. She was intolerant of inequality and did not suffer fools lightly. Caprice chose
to be an organ donor, leaving the beautiful gift of life to many as her legacy.
Caprice is survived by her loving family, parents, Matt and Jill Walker of Wakulla County, Florida, sisters, Meredith of Detroit, Michigan, Grace (Austin Scott) of Tallahassee, brothers, Matthew Jr. (Tina) of Callahan and Trent currently attending the University of Florida.
She is preceded by her paternal grandparents Joseph and Victoria Walker of St. Petersburg and maternal grandfather Ray Conlon of Cocoa Beach.
A Celebration of Caprice's Life will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Bevis Funeral
Home. A reception will be held immediately following the service in the Bevis event room.
