Robert Wayne Briscoe, age 77, passed away peacefully at his home on February 12, 2026, after courageously battling prostate cancer.
Robert was born on June 22, 1948. He married the love of his life, Donene, on August 24, 1967. Together, they built a devoted family and shared nearly six decades of marriage grounded in faith and commitment.
He graduated from Weber State University in 1974 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. He served honourably from 1975 to 1985, taking great pride in his connection to military aviation. Following his military service, Robert continued serving his country through more than 30 years of combined employment with the United States Postal Service and the Internal Revenue Service.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Robert served in many callings throughout his life. He devoted decades to the Boy Scouts of America, mentoring young men and helping shape their character and skills. He also served faithfully in the temple, giving quiet and consistent service.
Robert had a lifelong passion for airplanes, art, carpentry, marksmanship, genealogy, and preparedness. He approached each endeavor with discipline and dedication.
Robert is survived by his wife, Donene Briscoe; his seven children (and spouses) Thaine Robert Briscoe (Sunny), Danielle Penhall (Justin), Suzette Zahradnik, Rebecca Ann Rodriguez, Yvonne Briscoe, Nathaniel Edwin Briscoe, and Mary Nicole Walker; fourteen grandchildren (one preceding him in death); and eleven great-grandchildren. Robert is also survived by his brother, Alan Briscoe. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son-in-law, Ramiro A. Rodriguez III, and his grandson, Aaron Kyle Ellis.
Robert will be remembered for his loyalty, strength, faith, and unwavering devotion to family, church, and country.
