Carey Tripler Obituary
Carey Lee Tripler, age 85, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2024 at Riddle Hospital in Media, PA. Carey was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 13, 1938. Carey enjoyed spending time with his family and especially liked time at the Jersey shore back in the 60's & 70's. From riding waves to sailing kites then catching the rides on the Boardwalk. He picked up golf around that same time and never missed an opportunity to hit the links with his brother Rich and friends, and then later on with his children. Carey and his late wife also enjoyed spending time in Maryland on the Chesapeake on their boat, especially with their grandchildren. That love of boating continued with his daughter and son-in-law, crabbing in Chestertown Maryland for the past several years, and then enjoying the fruits of their labor with a big crab fest after.
Carey was loved by everyone who knew him. His smile, humorous story telling, and silly antics will be missed by all, especially his family.
Carey is the son of the late William Tripler and Thelma Loving Cramer, husband of the late Kathleen Hoffecker Tripler, father of the late Kenneth Tripler, brother to the late Ronald Tripler and the late Douglas Cramer.
Survivors: Children: Kathleen M. Coupe (late Brian), Michael A. Tripler (Karen), Robert W. Tripler (Cathy), and Joanne M. Tripler Slawter (Sanford). Grandchildren: Keith Tripler (Valerie), Bryan Tripler (Melissa), Lori Beth Tripler, Kelly Goldstein (Andy), Christopher Waite, Samantha Tripler, Alex Adams (Chaz) and Matthew Coupe. Great Grandchildren: Alexis, Matilda, Grant, Sonya and June. Siblings: Richard Tripler (Doreen).
Visitation: Friday, February 23, 2024 from 6pm-9pm and Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 9am-11am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston, PA 19014. Funeral Service: February 24, 2024, 11:00am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home. Burial: February 24, 2024 at East Lawn Cemetery, Swarthmore PA. In Lieu of Flowers: Donations may be made in Carey's memory to the American Heart Association at www.Heart.org.

Dad would come over the house and stay the weekend and together, me, Jess and Dad would have coffee in the morning, and then we would whip up breakfast. Dad would share stories of him growing up, and fun times of when he raised his family on Valley Road. Each time I learned a little something more. I feel lucky to have known him. I know my kids always loved seeing him.
