Carl Milton Anderson, 81, of Burbank, died peacefully at home on Thursday, March 17, 2022 after a period of declining health.
Carl was born on Aug. 20, 1940 in Navarre and was the son of Oscar G. and Ethel Fern (Tompkins) Anderson. On June 6, 1961 he married Sandra Jean Shrieves and they shared nearly 62 years together. Carl retired from the Ford Motor Plant in Brook Park after 45 years of service and had made his home near Burbank since 1978. He was a member of the Quarry Masonic Lodge #382 in Berea and enjoyed being a part of the Burbank Coffee Club. Carl was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved being outdoors, camping and riding his 4-wheeler. He was always good with his hands. He enjoyed woodworking, working on cars and he could fix just about anything. He will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his wife, Sandy; children, Scott (Andrea) Anderson of Chippewa Lake, Kathy (Don) Schmucker of Burbank and Kevin (Brenda Reed) Anderson of Burbank; grandchildren, Rachel (LaRon) Miller, Rebecca Walker, Coit (Breanna Louis) Anderson and David Anderson; great-grandchildren, Evelynn, Aria and Milo Miller; a brother, Claude (Dolores) Anderson of Woodlands, TX; sister-in-law, Debbie (Ron) Singer of Salt Lake City, UT; brother-in-law, Keith Shrieves of Columbus and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Glada Cotton and brothers, Paul, Irvin and Roger.
Services will be Monday, March 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Ron and Cameron Singer officiating. Burial will be in Burbank Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com
