Carl Barker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. on Dec. 23, 2025.
Carl L. Barker, 83, of Titusville, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital after an extended illness.
Carl was born on June 17, 1942, in Titusville to the late Cecil and Mildred Proctor Barker. He married Winifred L. Williams on July 28, 1962, in Collingswood, NJ. She preceded him in death on December 11, 1995.
He was a graduate of Titusville High School, Class of 1960. He was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force.
Carl worked at Cyclops Specialty Steel Corp. for 30 years until retirement in 1994.
Carl enjoyed life and all it had to offer. He especially enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing, with some of his fondest memories coming from his many fishing trips to Canada with his friends and family. Although he loved all those times his most cherished memories come from his time spent in "God's Country" better known as the farm. This sacred ground is where after his military service ended in 1964, Carl and his father owned and operated Barker's Christmas Tree Farm until its conclusion in 1995. This place along with his vast family are what he adored the most.
He is survived by his children, Carl R. Barker and wife Suzanne of Connecticut, David K. Barker and wife Ginger of Titusville, and Jennifer Rodgers and husband Charles of Colorado; grandchildren, Sauyer, Taylor, and Silas Yashinski, Zachary, Rachael, Megan and Carter Rodgers, Whitney Proper and husband Luke of Oil City, Adam, Mathew, and Luke Barker of Connecticut; a sister, Charlotte Danzer and late husband Tom of Harrisburg and numerous nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Carl was preceded in death by his siblings, Leonard Barker, Edwin Barker, Lucille Schreffler, and Patricia Bowen.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions can be made to a local charity of one's choice.
