Carl Wayne Brande, 75, of Pineville, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 at White Oak Manor in Charlotte.
Carl was born December 6, 1949 in Greensboro, North Carolina to the late Carl Thomas Brande and the late Jean Faye Brande.
The memorial service will be on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord officiated by Pastor Nathan Arledge.
Carl was most prideful of his service as a Combat Vietnam Veteran for the United States Navy, where he volunteered for two tours of duty. He was known for the love he held for Fort Fisher, going deep sea fishing with his family, and visiting Britt's Donuts. Carl's family recall memories involving stargazing; whether it was watching the stars in Maui, Hawaii or in nearby farming fields. Carl loved reading and learning - if the book was too large, Carl would rip the book in half and take the part of the book that he was currently reading with him. He educated himself in all things culture, history, art, and language and is most remembered for the intelligence he held concerning all topics. Carl was always the man in charge when it came to preparing the main dish for any family holiday meals, specifically turkey or ham. Carl loved Port Wine, Stilton Blue stinky cheese, and a good cigar.
Most of all, Carl will be remembered for being a loving husband, a dedicated father, and an amazing PawPaw and Grandpa.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Gerri Brande; daughter, Tina Lovings; son Greg (Erika) Brande; and grandchildren, Cody Brande, Ariella Lovings (Owen Marshall), Beren Brande, and Wailea Brande.
