Carl Wesley Carlson, "Wes," age 95, of Stanton, CA, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025, to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Born on February 2, 1930, in South Dakota, Wes was the beloved child of Carl and Arlene Carlson and the loving brother to 3 siblings. Wes enlisted in the Air Force in 1950, functioning as an aircraft mechanic and eventually moving into his lifelong career as a truck driver in 1958 with him eventually retiring on his 80th birthday. Wes's warmth and generosity was present through every interaction. A naturally compassionate person, he was always the first to offer a helping hand. His selfless acts, both big and small, stemmed from a deep conviction that kindness is life's greatest gift. Those who knew him felt loved and inspired by his gentle and steady willingness to support others, and his legacy of compassion continues to inspire all who were blessed enough to know him. Wes's life was anchored in an unwavering faith in God. As a devoted parishioner and deacon of Anaheim Baptist Fellowship, he faithfully attended weekly services, led Bible study groups, and mentored younger members, embodying Christ's love in every interaction. His compassionate leadership guided the church's outreach efforts, leaving an indelible mark on both the congregation and the wider community. Through prayerful counsel, hymns, and heartfelt testimonies, he uplifted those around him and strengthened the bonds of fellowship. His legacy of servant-leadership and devotion continues to inspire all who call Anaheim Baptist Fellowship home. Wes is survived by his 4 children, 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory. Wes was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Annie and his siblings, whose love and guidance shaped his journey. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Anaheim Baptist Fellowship, located at 3233 W. Ball Road, Anaheim, CA 92804. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Anaheim Baptist Fellowship, honoring Wes Carlson's legacy of compassion and service.
