Carl Conley, age 91 of Columbus, OH, passed away on October 12, 2024. He was born on March 2, 1933 to the late Moscoe and Della (Samson) Conley in Chapmanville, WV. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by son Donny Conley, great granddaughter Amanda Bradshaw, siblings Julius, Galley, Kenneth, Ransom, Theora, Thelma, Naomi, Lottie, Lola, Pansy, Denver and Bonnie. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Betty (Horsley) Conley, children Barb (Jim) Hickman, Kenny (Shirley) Conley and Jimmy (Maria) Conley, grandchildren Lisa (Bob) Neff, Sheri (Jeremey) Corum, Nic Hickman, Jill (Adam) Schellhammer, Crystal (Pat) Hill, Ariel Bradshaw, David (Jenny) Conley, Katie Connor and Kristie Conley, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, siblings Gillis (Joan) Conley, Curtis (Judy) Conley and Reba Dingess, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Carl retired from The Ohio State University after 35 years. He enjoyed gardening, collecting guns, working on motors and spending time with his loving grandchildren. He loved listening to blue grass music, and was an avid hunter.
Friends may call at Southwest Freewill Baptist Church, 1542 Greenleaf Rd, Columbus, OH 43223 on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 10:00am until time of service at 12:00pm. Burial to follow at Alton Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
