Of Buffalo, NY. Beloved husband of late Kathleen Eberhard and late Barbara Rodgers; loving father of Carl Jr. (Grace) Eberhard, David (Kim Blakita Taggart) Eberhard, and Michael (Julie) Eberhard; cherished grandfather of Mark, Nicholas, Luke, Melinda, Emily, Kelsey, Samantha, Madison, Michael Jr., and McKenzie; adored great-grandfather of five great-grandchildren; dear brother of Marianne (John) McCormick, late William (late Carol) Eberhard, Dolores (late Valentine) Boncal, Jane (Lawrence) Woods, and Peter (Minouz) Eberhard; devoted best friend of Al (Caroline) Rosenow; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Carl was a proud retired Lieutenant with the Buffalo Police Department and former owner of Bella Pizza in Lackawanna, which his family continues to operate. He lived in Maggie Valley, NC with his late wife Barbara and enjoyed his time there. Carl was an avid outdoorsmen and loved to chop wood. He also had an endless gift of gab and always had a great joke or zinger. Carl will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Carl was very generous to many good causes. His family wishes that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Carl's name to the Hospice Foundation of WNY. The family will be present on Tuesday (TODAY) from 3-7PM at the (Blasdell/Lackawanna Chapel) JOHN J. KACZOR FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3450 South Park Ave., where a Funeral Service will follow at 7PM.
