Carl E. Gamble Jr.

SOMERVILLE- Carl E. Gamble Jr., age 79 passed away on March 10, 2026 at Samaritan Keep Home in Watertown with his loving family by his side. A graveside service will be held on Saturday March 14, 2026 at 11AM at East Riverside Cemetery in Gouverneur with Pastor Orville Eacker officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home, 33 Park Street, Gouverneur.

Carl was born in Watertown to the late Carl Sr. and Dorothy (Russell) Gamble on December 2, 1946. On June 4, 1966 he married the love of his life Dianna (Diane) Bates at the Gouverneur Presbyterian Church. Carl worked construction for many years for Bette & Cring Associates of Watertown, Construction Associates of Baldwinsville, and Bernier, Carr & Associates of Watertown for 15 years.

Carl is survived by his wife of 59 years Diane, his children, Terri (Bradley) Gotham, Kevin (Amanda) Gamble and Kristine (Joseph) Ginger, two sisters, Tina (Dennis) Demo, Luann Kimmet, three step sisters, Joan McPherson, Kathy Rust and Patti Folino, nine grandchildren, Justin, Jeffrey, Jory, Jaelyn, Kraig, Tony, Elly, Megan, and Courtney, fifteen great grandchildren, Trevor, Olivia, Hannah, Carter, Brayden, Braxton, Harper, Alex, Dominic, Julian, Jude, Jenevive, Jace, Jack, Ben. He is predeceased by his parents, a grandson Zachary, a great granddaughter Addison, a brother David Constantino, a sister, Connie Rice, a step sister Jane Gleason.

Carl was a member and former officer at the Gouverneur Elks Club, was a past member of the Gouverneur Fire Department. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching NASCAR, hunting, fishing, bowling, and wood working.

Memorial donations in Carl's memory may be made to the Gouverneur Elks Lodge.
