Carl Bonitto Gonzales, born on July 23, 1942, in Jamaica, peacefully passed away on May 29, 2025, in Middle Island, NY. A dedicated self-employed laborer, Carl was known for his strong work ethic and his unwavering commitment to providing for his family.
Carl is survived by his beloved wife, Jasmine Gonzales, and their children: Elaine Gonzales-Ross and her husband Charles, Charlene Gonzales, Judith Gonzales, Robert Gonzales, Derrick Gonzales, Barrington Gonzales, Suzette Gonzales, Zoila Miller and her husband Jared, Johnny Gonzales and his wife Donna, Salomie Jarett, Aretha, Markie Gonzales, Carl Gonzales, Peta-Gaye Gonzales and Maria Gonzales. He also cherished his role as a grandfather to 26 grandchildren and a great-grandfather to 7 great-grandchildren, bringing joy and pride to his family throughout his life. He also was a devoted brother to Lukell and Norvall Willis, as well as brother to Dahlia Daley. He is preceded in death by his daughter, the late Karen Gonzales, as well as his parents, Raphael and Ivy Gonzales, both of whom hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
The family will hold visitation on June 11, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a prayer service from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Mangano Family Funeral Home Of Middle Island, located at 640 Middle Country Rd, Middle Island, NY 11953.
Carl's legacy of love, hard work, and dedication will forever be remembered by his family and friends. His spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
