Carl Grorich Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ritchay Funeral Home - Wisconsin Rapids on Dec. 31, 2025.
Carl G. Grorich, age 84, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards, WI.
At Carl's request there will not be a viewing or service. In lieu of flowers or memorials, the family asks that if Carl or Dorothy touched your life, that you pay it forward and make a difference in the life of someone else in the coming year. This would be the best way to honor their memory.
Carl was born on March 2, 1941 in Babcock, WI. He married Dorothy Peterson on August 27, 1960. Throughout his career, Carl worked at the paper mill in Nekoosa, WI on the inter-mill railroad, and at the Nepco Lake pump station and Centralia Dam. Carl was an active member and Elder at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Nekoosa for most of his life. He also attended Trinity Lutheran in his later years. His love of church missions guided him to lead several teams of parents to do building projects as part of Missions Outreach Inc. In his free time, Carl enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Carl is survived by two children, Nancy Grorich, and James Grorich; 3 grandchildren, Michael, James Jr., and Ben Grorich; siblings, Fred (Carol) Grorich, Geraldine "Geri" Redeker, Richard (Marsha) Grorich, and Karen Grorich; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; parents; daughter-in-law, Sue Rickey; and brothers Bill and Ernie Grorich; as well as numerous in-laws.
