ROCKVILLE – Carl Milton Hall, 90, of
Rockville, Indiana, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at Hickory Creek at Sunset in Greencastle.
He was born May 23, 1935, in Somerset, Kentucky, to the late Edward Milton Hall and Daisy Neikirk Hall. He retired from Indiana Gas Company.
Survivors include his son, David (Donna) Hall of Loudon, Tennessee; three daughters, Diane (Rod) Humphreys of Rockville, Terri (Jeff) Boyd of Fort Worth, Texas, and Janna Shepard of Franklin; one brother, Charles (Ann) Hall of Somerset, Kentucky; two brothers-in-law, Paul (Suzanna) Fitzgerald of Olathe, Kansas, and Howard Godby of Somerset, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Abe (Liz) Humphreys of Flora, Ross (Micah) Humphreys of Rosedale, Samantha Shepard and John Shepard both of Franklin, and Justin (Conner) Boyd of Fort Worth, Texas; great-grandchildren, Chase, Reed, Lyla, Kora, Nash, and June Humphreys; step-great-grandchildren, Ayden (Sydney), Jackson, Cohen, Tessa, Dixon, and Hudson Ayres; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 71 years, Ina Mae Hall, who passed away in 2024; two brothers, Donald Hall and Burt Hall; and three sisters, Paula Wesley, Lula Bowman, and Mary Godby.
Carl attended school in Kentucky and later moved to Benton County, Indiana, where he met Ina Mae. Together they moved to Rockville in 1961, where they raised their family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's activities.
Carl enjoyed driving the bus for away athletic games for many years, and one of the highlights of his time was driving during the 1987 boys' sectional basketball win. He also enjoyed driving grain trucks for local farmers. He was a faithful member of Faith Bible Church in Rockville.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 5, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 6, at Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville, with Pastor Jack E. Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow.
