Carl Thomas Horton was born on August 30, 1950 in Athens, Alabama to the union of Nettie B. Maxwell and Thomas Reed. He departed this earthly life on Saturday, July 15th, 2023 at his residence in Florida.
Carl attended High School in Clarksville, Tennessee and he continued his education by attending Tennessee State University (TSU).
Carl served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy. He worked a varied of jobs for many years until he retired. Carl enjoyed being with his family and friends.
Carl was preceded in death by wife Rosezella Dianne Horton.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories children, Lovard, Shatekia, Marcella, Jason; siblings, Mary, Flora (Arthur), Josephine (Freddie), Teresa (Carl), Georgian, William, Charles; aunt, Annie Reed, Dessie Knott; Uncle, Mack Horton; devoted friends, Anthony and Marie Brown; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
