Larson, Carl James "Carly" "C.J." of Mpls, formerly of Mtka & Rochester. Born July 26, 1922 in Rushford, MN, died Feb. 6, 2006 at MN Vets Home at age 83. Survived by wife, Delores P. "Dee"; sisters, Eunice & husband Lowell Thompson, Edith & husband Dr. Del Thurber, both of Rochester; his cat, Ming II; many other loving relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents, Carl & Christine; siblings, Clarice, Bennett and Maxine "Mickey"; and nephew, Douglas. Decorated WWII Army veteran having earned the Purple Heart while serving in Europe. Avid hockey player and fan (played with the Rochester Mustangs). Member Rochester Masonic Lodge #21 AF & AM, and Scottish Rite. Member of Rochester Elks Club, played in the Drum Bugle Corps. Funeral service Thursday, 10 AM, with visitation beginning 9 AM at Chapel of Peace, located in MN Veteran's Home, 5101 Minnehaha Ave S., Mpls. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Home for Life (an animal sanctuary) or American Heart Association. Washburn-McReavy Southeast Chapel 612-379-2368
