Carl Martin Church, affectionately known as Marty, 64, of Olive Hill passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2026. He was born on November 7, 1961, in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, to the late Carl P. Church and Delphine Lane Church, he lived a life marked by dedication, love for his family, and a deep connection to the outdoors.
As the owner and operator of TMT Trucking, Carl built a career through hard work and commitment. Beyond his business endeavors, Marty was a man with a passion for the simple joys of life: hunting, fishing, and anything to do with vehicles. He cherished the outdoors and treasured the moments spent on the farm, embracing the peace and fulfillment these activities brought him.
His devotion to his family was evident in every aspect of his life. Carl is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Caroll Church, who stood by his side and shared in his life's journey. He was a proud father to his daughter, Tia Brooke Queen, and cherished grandfather to Kaylee Mae Collins. His family extended to his siblings—two sisters, Marilyn Boxx and Carolyn Boxx both of Stamping Grounds, Kentucky, David Church of Ashland, Kentucky and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his cherished dog Ellie Mae.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Jimmy "Tater" Nolan and Myra Mae Nolan.
Throughout his life, Marty was known for his steadfast character and the warmth he brought to those around him. His legacy lives on in his family, who remember him as a man who loved deeply and lived fully.
Marty's passing marks the end of a remarkable life, one defined by hard work, family devotion, and a profound love of nature. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
At Marty's request there will be a private memorial service held at a later date.
