Harold Dean was born on September 7, 1946 in Pleasant Valley, Kentucky, a son of the late Edwin Harold Morgan and Helen Cecil Morgan.
He wore many hats during his life from farmer to railroader and his favorite job as a long distance truck driver. He used to joke that he has driven more miles backwards than most people have drove forward.
He was a member of Pleasant Valley Gospel Tabernacle Church. After becoming a member, he would often say, “I love this kind of living. I love living for the Lord.”
Harold Dean was a United States Air Force Veteran.
He enjoyed horses and rode them when he was younger. He also enjoyed gardening and he loved to travel.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Irene Ellington Morgan and one sister, Janet S. Morgan Oney.
Survivors include his wife, Christine McGlone Morgan, a son, Josh Morgan (Chad) of Denver Colorado, a daughter, Deanna Harris of Raceland, Kentucky, three step-children, Kevin Bair, Curt Bair (Beth) and Larae Williams (Scott) all of Grayson, a brother, David Morgan (Penny) of Lascassas, Tennessee, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, five step-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends who will mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 28, 2026 at the Pleasant Valley Gospel Tabernacle (11056 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164) with Pastor Brock Cox and Dr. Dennis Durst officiating.
Burial will follow in the Ellington Cemetery in Rowan County, Kentucky.
