Carl McClelland

McCLELLAND, Carl - of Davison, MI, age 87, passed away Monday, February 19, 2024 at Vicinia Gardens Assisted Living. At Carl's request, cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442, at a later date.
Carl was born in Brown City, MI on August 23, 1936, son of the late Joseph and Eileen (Siple) McClelland. He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1955-1957. Carl met his wife and lifetime dance partner Carol (Tiefert) whom he married in 1959. They shared 64 wonderful years together before her death on August 11, 2023, his heart broken by her death, they are now together again. Carl was employed by Buick Motor Division from 1965-1997. He took great pride in his role there and was known as a hard working man to all. After retirement, Carl could be found mostly on the golf course or in his garage tinkering or building items such as birdhouses. He loved planting flowers and keeping his yard picture perfect. Carl was a great polka dancer and even when difficult to breathe still shared his wonderful singing voice just days before his death. He had a great love for his family and showed them every day how much he loved them. He will be missed dearly.
Carl leaves behind his loving daughters, Char (Gerry) Lacey, Kim (Terry) Stradinger and Arlene (Lorne) Flaig; four special granddaughters, Cassey Flaig (Dan Wilson), Chantel Flaig, Erika (Cody) Campbell and Micaela (Mike) Siudara; two very special great-granddaughters, Cameron Siudara and Myla Campbell; siblings, Donna Herman, Marjorie Ferguson, Geraldine Frase, Gary(Pam) McClelland, Vickie (Ron)Wilcox, Dennis McClelland and Patty(Stacy)Stimson; and many other loving family members and friends. Carl was proceeded in death by sisters, Leona Doolin, Doris Smith and Bonnie Arms; brothers, Robert McClelland, Ken McClelland, Larry McClelland and infant Donnie McClelland; his aforementioned parents and his beloved dog Buddy.
