Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the Matthews Funeral Home in Jennings, LA for Mr. Chad Paul "Jump Start" McClelland, 46, who sadly passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025. The family is requesting that visiting hours be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 9:00 AM until his services at 2:00 PM. Pastor Clifton LeJeune will officiate the services and interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Jennings, LA. Chad was born in Lafayette, LA on November 17, 1978, to Mr. Leroy McClelland and Mrs. Ramona Dupuis LaPoint. As a resident of Lake Arthur, LA, Chad worked as a Rail Supervisor for Phoenix Group for three years. A beloved son, husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Chad is survived by his wife of 3 years, Ashley McClelland; three sons, Taylor Arrant (Madison), Bryson Parsley and Skyler McClelland; six daughters, Tiffanie Leger (Brennen), Cloe Hicks,Jasmine McClelland, Madison McClelland, Kalli Fruge and Marcella Curry; his parents, Leroy McClelland and Ramona Dupuis LaPoint; step-mother, Teresa McClelland; four brothers, Marcus McClelland (Angie); Chad A. McClelland, Clayton McClelland and John LaPoint, Jr. (Tinker); three sisters, Tawana Chadburn (David), Misty McClelland and Debra LaPoint; eleven grandchildren, Brinley Leger, Roselynn McClelland, Colt Leger, Riverlyn Leger, Kyler Leger, Bowden McClelland, Hazel Gary, Ellesyn Arrant, Asher Arrant, Elam Arrant, Jensen Arrant. He is preceded in death his step-father, John LaPoint and his brother-in-law, Samuel Hairston. Pallbearers chosen to carry Chad to his place of rest are Undertaker, Buster, Ghost, Animal, Ozone and Static. Honorary Pallbearers are his boys, Skyler, Taylor and Bryson. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Matthews Funeral Home JENNINGS, 511 N Cutting Ave Jennings, LA 70546
