Carl Eugene McMullen

Carl Eugene McMullen, age 88, of New Castle, PA, passed away on the Feb. 26, 2026, at UPMC Mercy Hospital, in Pittsburgh, PA.

Born Dec. 3, 1937, in Mapleton, PA, he was the son of the late Edward D. and Thelma G. (Clevinger) McMullen.

On Sept. 17, 1961, he married Dorothy L. Pharr of Waycross, GA. They were married for 64 years. Mrs. McMullen survives at home.

Carl was a member of the Shippensburg Area High School class of 1955. He was a member of the United States Air Force, serving as Master Sergeant, for 21 years. He then worked in civil services for the United States Army, for 13 years. He enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Lion's Club, The American Legion Honor Guard, and the Air Force Sergeant Association.

In addition to his wife, Carl is survived by one son, Edward (Nancy) McMullen of New Castle, PA; one daughter, Teri Martin of Wilmington, NC; and one grandchild, Hayden Martin.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by five siblings.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation or services.
