Carl C. Metz

Carl C. Metz, 82 passed away peacefully on February 8, 2022 with his children by his side at Ephrata Hospital. Carl enjoyed hunting and spending time at his cabin in Huntington. He was the President of Manor Ridge Little League and coaching softball was a passion of his. He also enjoyed umpiring baseball and softball games. Many hours were spent at the little league field. For 12 years Carl was the President of Fleetwood Fish and Game Association. Carl, owned his own chicken shaving company. After selling his company, Carl, worked for AirProducts, and retired from Air Products after 15 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed traveling to his grandchildren's sporting events.
Carl was born on December 23, 1939. He was one of 7 children. Carl is preceded in death, by his wife Cathy.
He was born in Huntington, PA and grew up in Lampeter, PA. He is survived by his sisters, Joy (Sid) Warner of Lancaster, Linda Lindeman (Robert (deceased)) of Wrightsville and Gale (John) Thomason of Coudersport. His children, Michelle (Jim) Robertson of York, Tonya (Jeremiah) Haynes of Akron, Nicole (Larry) Kruger of Torrance, CA and Jeff (Denise) Metz of Lancaster. He has 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Carl was loved and will be greatly missed.
