Carl Leslie Oord, born on September 8, 1956, in Toppenish, Washington passed away August 14, 2024, in Kennewick, Washington. He lived to be 67 and then went home to be with the Lord. He was the fourth child of Jasper and Mildred Oord and spent his first years on a small orchard in Zillah Washington. In 1960 the family moved to Kennewick, Washington.
Carl worked for the Pasco Housing Authority for 32 years doing maintenance. Carl's favorite hobbies included bicycling, antique hunting and going to thrift stores. He loved his family, friends and especially his Pug mix named Henry who was his constant companion for the last 12 years. He had several different dogs and cats through the years, most of them he found as strays.
Carl is survived by his sisters Geraldine (Dennis) Frimodt and Melinda Skinnell and his brothers Ray (Vickie) Oord, Carl and Doug (Shelli) Oord. Carl was preceded in death by his mother and father Mildred and Jasper Oord.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Chaplaincy Health Care (Hospice).
His burial arrangements have been made with Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah, Washington. His Funeral will be held at 10am on Saturday August 24th, 2024, at the Faith Communiuty Church, 300 W. Centennial Dr. Zillah, WA 98953. A light luncheon reception will be held after the burial. All friends and family are welcome.

Carl and I were classmates through school. We had a mutual interest in cars. He was just simply a good human being, as were all the Oords I knew. Cheryl and my condolences to the family and friends.
