It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carl Alfred Rando, who departed this life peacefully on November 2, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on June 18, 1953, in Brockton, Massachusetts, Carl grew up in a family that fostered his passions and encouraged his love for music and community. He resided in Lakeville, MA, for many years, where he touched the lives of many through his work and personal interests.
Carl had a remarkable career spanning over 50 years in the electrical supply industry, dedicating his expertise to serve his customers with care and professionalism. His knowledge of electrical fixtures, wiring, and supplies was exceptional and contributed to his well-earned reputation among clients, who became friends and supporters throughout his career. Beyond his professional endeavors, Carl was an extraordinary musician, a talented drummer known for his remarkable performances. From his early years in junior high, he shared his passion for music by playing in various bands, including a 60's, 70's, and 80's band, and most recently, "Too Much Fun," where he delighted audiences at local senior centers and assisted living facilities. Carl's love for music was only rivaled by his dedication to the friendships he formed with fellow musicians and audience members alike.
Carl is survived by his cherished wife, Jane Rando, beloved daughter Catelyn, son Christopher and his wife Elizabeth, granddaughter Phoebe, and brother Paul and his wife Antoinette (Toni). He leaves behind a supportive extended family including his niece Denise and her husband Bill Clark, grandnephews Ryan and Aiden, sister-in-law Pamela Rando, sister-in-law Gale Belrose, brother-in-law Dean Olson, niece Sara and her husband Eric Mann, as well as several grand-nieces and nephews: Samantha, Conner, Alina, Jaxson, and Morgan. He will also be missed by his cousins: John Rando, Deborah Baronas, Peter Rando, and Andrew Rando. Carl was predeceased by his nephew Dennis and his brother Phillip.
Carl was not only a remarkable professional and musician but a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle who embraced life and his many talents with joy. His powerful presence and generous spirit will be remembered fondly by all who had the honor of knowing him.
A memorial visitation to honor Carl's life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, at the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, located at 280 Bedford Street, Lakeville, MA 02347. Friends and family are invited to gather to share memories and celebrate the profound impact Carl had on their lives.
In gratitude for the joyful memories and music he shared, we say: Grazie, Carl. Your spirit will forever resonate in our hearts.
