Donna Lynne "Bizarro" Cabral

Donna Lynne Cabral (née Bizarro), 78, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 24, 2026, in East Freetown, Massachusetts, after a long illness. Born on October 3, 1947, in Acushnet, Massachusetts, she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Dolores Bizarro of Fairhaven.

Donna graduated from Fairhaven High School in 1965 and went on to dedicate her life to public service and law enforcement. She broke barriers as the first female police officer at the Fairhaven Police Department, paving the way for future generations of women in law enforcement. Her career also included impactful roles with the Bristol County District Attorney's Office and the Massachusetts Department of Disability Services. Donna's commitment to serving the public was a hallmark of her life.

Outside of her professional accomplishments, Donna found joy in gardening and spending time outdoors. An avid reader, Donna loved a great crime story, especially at the beach. She was an active member of the 1965 Fairhaven High School Reunion Committee and cherished maintaining connections with old friends. Her cat, Bella, held a special place in her heart and was a constant companion. Above all else, Donna loved her family deeply and took pride in living independently throughout her life.

Donna is survived by her children: Shawn Cabral and his wife Kimberly of Sarasota, Florida; and Lisa Kyranos and her husband John of Lakeville, Massachusetts. She was a devoted grandmother to Lexy Cabral and her husband Tyler Wegener of Bradenton, Florida; Alexandria Kyranos of Plainville, Massachusetts; Victoria Kyranos of Lakeville; Cameron Cabral of Sarasota; Sophia Kyranos of Lakeville; and Caiden Cabral of Sarasota. She also leaves behind one great-grandchild, Coltyn Cabral of Bradenton, Florida. Donna also shared a close bond with her dear cousin Deborah Alves of New Bedford, Massachusetts.

In addition to her parents, Joseph and Dolores Bizarro, Donna was predeceased by many loved ones who undoubtedly welcomed her home with open arms.

Donna's legacy as a trailblazer in law enforcement and as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, cousin, and friend will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
