Carl Rigoli, Jr. Obituary

Visit the Terrace Park Funeral Home and Cemetery website to view the full obituary.

Carl Rigoli, Jr. was born on August 2, 1946, and it is with heavy hearts that we announce his passing on November 10, 2025. Carl suffered much physical pain in his life due to multiple health issues, but rarely complained, and even though the last few years were rough, he passed peacefully with loved ones at his side.

Anyone who knew Carl, knew he had a devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other, but the angel side won, as he had a heart of gold! He was kind and generous to family and friends, because they meant everything to him! Always ensuring they were supported, including having enough to eat! His interests were as diverse as they were passionate. A veteran of the Air Force, he held a deep respect for military service, and supported various veterans organizations throughout his life.

Carl was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Smithville, MO, for many years and had a deep Faith in God. He loved angels, the Rosary, babies, dogs, music, cowboy movies, numbers, geology, meteorology, Italian food and sports, including dog and horse racing. He liked coaching basketball and baseball, encouraging youth to persevere and follow their dreams. He enjoyed the outdoors and the beach; some of Carl's fondest memories were spent at Old Orchard Beach with family. In his latter years, as he was less mobile, he enjoyed the care his wife Barbara gave to him and just being with her at home and sharing unconditional love.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents: Carl Sr. and Rose Rigoli; as well as his first wife: Wendy Rigoli.

He is survived by his wife: Barbara Rigoli; sister: Florence Rigoli; brother: Anthony (Peggy) Rigoli; children: Shawn (Lisa) Pittman, Nick (Amanda) Rigoli, Teague (Jin) Ruffo, and Caleb Ruffo; his grandchildren: Kelsey and her husband Zac, Dominic, Saeeun; as well as his great grandchildren: Oliver and Mia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) or the Wounded Warrior Project.
