Carl Franklin Sinkler, 78, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022 peacefully in his sleep.
Carl was born on July 9, 1944 to the late Raymond and Velma (Jackson) Sinkler in Hord, Illinois.
Carl was full of life, loved to work on vehicles, loved to travel with his girlfriend Violet Wilburn, and loved to spend time with his daughter, Tammy and her fiancé Josh Harmon, his grandson, Leland and girlfriend Violet Wilburn.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Jr. and Charles Lewis; and seven sisters, Norma, Doris, Betty, Evelyn, Marilyn, Helen, and Mary.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Tammy and fiancé, Josh; grandson, Leland; and girlfriend, Violet Wilburn; along with several nephews and nieces.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 22, 2022, at Watson Cemetery, Watson, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at Watson Cemetery. Services are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham.
Memorials may be made to Johnson Funeral Home for funeral expenses, 1110 N. 4th St, Effingham, IL, 62401. Online condolences may be shared at www.johnsonandsonsfh.com.

Tammy, my deepest sympathy in the loss of your dad. He was a dear friend for several years. I remember having a quick chat with him just a short time ago and seeing he had passed was a shock. Prayers for you and your son.
