Carl E. Thurlow

CORINNA- Carl E. Thurlow moved to his eternal home on December 11, 2025 at home with his family at the age of 99 years.
He was born December 22, 1925, in Hiram Maine, the son of John and Cassie (Henderson) Thurlow. He worked at Faye and Scott in Dexter Maine for about 40 years until his retirement. He loved working in the woods and cut cedar up until the age of 83. He was also the go-to guy for much of the family when mechanical repair was needed, especially lawn mowers. He was a long-time member of the Full Gospel Church of Exeter and was one of the original builders of the church building.
He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Faloon and husband Elmer of Corinna; two grandsons, Chris Faloon and wife Jodie of Exeter and Shawn Faloon and wife Heather of Corinna; one sister-in-law, Norma Thurlow of Washington State; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Marie in 1999; and two brothers, Herbert and John Thurlow of Washington State.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m., with a service immediately following at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the Exeter Full Gospel Church, 1741 Exeter Road, Exeter, Maine, with Rev. Chris Faloon officiating. A gathering will follow and all are welcome. A spring committal will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the Village Cemetery, Stetson Road, Corinna.
