Along with his devoted wife, Ruby Veal, survivors include his children, Duane Veal and wife Becky of Centralia, Marsha Fraily of Vandalia, and Bonnie Veal of WY; brothers, Chuck Veal of Peoria, and Don Veal of Metamora; sisters, Wanda Hendrix of Centralia, and Patty Veal of Centralia.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents.
Carl was a man of great faith, and a member of the Apostolic Church in Salem. He enjoyed his quiet time, reading the Bible and was grateful for God's redeeming presence in his life. Carl was a good provider and protector for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Farmer's Cemetery in Shobonier. Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval is privileged to be assisting the family with arrangements.
