Carl J. Walls
Pinconning, Michigan
Formerly of Hale, Michigan
Carl J. Walls, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, at Covenant Health Source in Saginaw, Michigan. Born on November 6, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Arthur and Josephine (Gallagher) Walls, Carl's journey through life was marked by dedication, love, and a passion for the great outdoors and growing up in Iosco County area. After graduating from Oscoda High School, he bravely served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, Carl found his calling as a supervisor for the Livonia United Parcel Service, where he dedicated many years before retiring.
In retirement, Carl returned to his roots in the quaint AuSable River area, where he reconnected with the joys of his youth. The river and lake were his sanctuaries, and he spent countless hours hunting, fishing, and tending to his beloved garden. Carl's generosity was as bountiful as his harvest, and he took great pleasure in sharing the fruits of his labor with others.
Carl's life was enriched by his loving family. He found love and companionship with his wife, Rosemary "Rosie" Kendall, whom he married on November 9, 2002, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mio. Together, they created a home filled with warmth and kindness. He was a devoted father to Mark Walls, David Walls, Debbie (Tim) Reed, Brenda (Todd) Lamb, and Ken Webb. His legacy continues through his seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the memories and lessons he imparted.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Diane Walls, and his brother, Arthur Walls, Carl's spirit of resilience and compassion remained unshaken. Those who knew Carl will remember him as a thoughtful, generous, and handy man who could fix almost anything. His ability to help those in need was a testament to his character, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Funeral Mass will celebrated Friday December 5,2025 at 11 on from Holy Trinity Parish-St. Michaels Church with Rev Matthew Federico presiding with Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Hale, Michigan. Family will greet family and friends on Thursday at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Pinconning Chapel from 1 pm to 7 pm and on Friday at the church from 10 am until time of Mass.
