Carl E. Waymaster

Carl Eugene Waymaster, 89 of Somerset, KY formally of Clawson and Berkley, MI. went to be with the Lord on 24 Jul, 2024 at Corewell Health – William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI.
He was born 22 Jan, 1935 in Hazel Park, MI to the late Alexander "Sid" and Vallie Christena (Ramsey) Waymaster, he was their only child.
On 30 Mar 1955 he married the love of his life Mildred Sue "Sue" Warren at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Hazel Park, MI. She preceded him in death on 29 Jan, 1986.
He later married Lauretta Janet "Rita" Brown Johnston on 09 Nov, 1986 in Troy, MI. She preceded him in death on 03 Jan, 2021.
He worked at Paragon in Novi, MI as a welder, welding railroad cars, and then later for Firwood Manufacturing in Dearborn, MI welding and cutting - tire machines. Also, as a reserve police officer with the City of Berkley.
He loved to travel. In his early family years, he spent a lot of time camping with Sue, the two boys and with another family Wes and Pat Gross and their two boys. He loved listening to gospel music especially with pipe organs.
Carl is survived by his Son's, he was a kind and loving father.

Waymaster (wife Catie) of Lenoir, NC, Great Grandchildren: Peyton and Hailey Brennen, Shane, Jaelyn, and Gage Pietrzyk, Avery Waymaster, Step-Great Grandchildren: Dodge and Emma Weaver.
Timothy S. Waymaster (wife Terri) of Madison Heights, MI. Grandchildren: Susan W. Mosley (husband Kevin) of Royal Oak, MI Great Grandchildren: Dylan and Kalin Atkinson, Brayden, Adalyn, Austin, Elvin, and Evelyn Mosley all of Royal Oak, MI.
Step-Children: John C. Johnston (wife Cindy) of Orlando, FL., and Lisa M. Johnston of Waterford, MI, Step-Daughter in-law's: Cheryl Cofield (wife of James M. Johnston whom preceded) of Culleoka, TN, Marilynn Johnston (wife of Jeffery Johnston whom preceded) of Macomb, MI, Amy Johnston (wife of William Johnston whom preceded) of Ferndale, MI.
A Committal Service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 11am at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, MI. If you plan on attending please meet inside the cemetery gate by 10:55am.
