Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation CenterCarl Porter Webber, 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at home, surrounded by his family.
He was born on May 19, 1932, in Keene, New Hampshire, to Carl G. and Grace M. (Porter) Webber.
He graduated from Marlborough High School in 1950, and following his high school years, Carl went on to achieve a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire. Carl’s journey began in humble circumstances, starting out by selling potatoes from a shed he hand-crafted himself. His entrepreneurial spirit blossomed into a lifetime career as a landscape artist, where he utilized his skills to create beautiful outdoor spaces throughout Cheshire County. He ran the Dublin Lake Nursery whole sale and retail nursery and Yankee Landscaping service most of his life. He cultivated not only plants but also a deep connection with the community he cherished.
The warmth of Carl's personality shone through in everything he did. He was known amongst family and friends as a handyman, always ready to lend a helping hand. Carl enjoyed connecting with the community and was fond of sharing stories and getting to know others. He could often be seen at his nursery, talking with visitors over an afternoon cup of coffee.
Carl enjoyed the beauty of New England. He would travel through the states in search of small nurseries. His goal was to meet new people who had the same passion for plants that he did. Carl traveled beyond New England to Oregon. In 1989 he accepted a job at a landscaping company in Eugene, Oregon but returned to New Hampshire a year later. He enjoyed going for Sunday rides through the Monadnock Region to reminisce over his younger years and see the beauty of the countryside.
An avid supporter of local farmers markets, Carl's face would light up with happiness at these gatherings. His cheerful demeanor was matched by his profound faith; he was a man of deep conviction who loved the Lord and carried his faith as a guiding light in his life.
Carl is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Carol Webber, his sons, Lewis Webber, Irvin Webber, and Carl Webber, and his daughters, Carrie Webber and Alice Webber.
Family and friends are warmly invited to his Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at Mountain View Bible Church, 81 Page Rd, Dublin, NH 03444.
