Carla Gwendolyn Dufner

Conway Carla Gwendolyn Dufner (nee Olson Allen), age 94, passed away July 7, 2025 with her granddaughter Shoshana Allen and sons, Vance and John Allen by her side.
Mrs. Dufner was born in Westminster, Colorado, a daughter of the late Elmer Carl and Ruth (nee Bowles) Olson. She first married Shaulter Allen on September 1, 1948. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1993. Mrs. Dufner then married John Dufner on October 29, 1999. He then preceded her in death in 2005. Mrs. Dufner was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, alongside her daughter, in Houston, Texas, on July 15, 1972. She remained steadfast, consistent, and true to her faith until she fell asleep for the final time. Mrs. Dufner was greatly loved and cared for by her granddaughter Shoshana and sons, John and Vance and caregivers Christy, Lori, and Michelle, and will be greatly missed more than words can express.
You weren't just a grandma, you were a mom

A limb has fallen from the family tree that says "Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song, the good life I lived while I was strong."
Surviving are: four sons, John David Allen and Dan Matthew Allen, both of Conway, Vance Shaulter Allen of Milwaukee, WI, Steven Carl Allen of Pearington, Mississippi; one daughter, Sandra Charlene Allen of Kansas City, MO; twelve grandchildren, Chandra Barnes, Suzi Hoffman, Amanda Curtiss, Jessica Allen, Mark Allen, Steven Allen, Toby Allen, Lori Hudson, Josh Allen, Shoshana Allen, Ceejaiye Norwood, and Azure Allen; twenty one great grandchildren, Derek, Sidney, Sunlit, Cole, Kimberley, Kaitlyn, Zach, Brianna, Kayleigh, Saul, Matthew, Nolan, Aiden, Brittney, Dakota, Colby, Grace, Amelia, Austin, Bryce, and Devlin.
A church handled memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 12, 2025 from the Kingdom Hall in Conway.
