Carla Rader, 58, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2024 at her home in Cleveland TN. God gifted her with complete and total healing following a 7-month battle with pancreatic cancer and is now joyfully in the presence of the Lord.
Carla is preceded in death by her father Bill O. Butler Jr. and her mother Barbara Jean Butler.
Carla is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Mike Rader. She also leaves behind her son Dillon, daughter-in-law Meredith Rader; son, Logan; grandsons Jude and Avett Rader; sister Nancy Bain (Danny); brothers Roger Butler; Billy Butler (Dawn); brothers-in-law Eddie Rader (Sheila); Tim (Melisa). She also had numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews whom she greatly loved.
Carla was a member of First Baptist Church of Cleveland for over 30 years. In addition to being a wonderful wife and mother, she spent many years working for Bradley County Parks and Recreation. She was also a meticulous house keeper for many in the Cleveland community for over a decade.
Carla was many things to many people, but her favorite title of all was "Lolli" to her precious grandsons Jude and Avett Rader. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who poured so much of herself into her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her, but we look forward to the day when, as believers in Christ, we will be reunited with her once again in eternity.
Visitation for Carla will be on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM, followed by a memorial service in the sanctuary of Companion Funeral Home (formerly Clingan Ridge Baptist Church). The service will be conducted by Pastor Nolan Rumble of Avenue Church in Cleveland, TN.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carla's name to Miracle League of Bradley County.
