Carla Annette Brown Wiley

Carla Annette Brown Wiley, 56, of Yatesville, formerly of Griffin, died Friday, March 27, 2026, at her home.

Born in Rome, September 20, 1969, she was a daughter of the late Carl Anthony Brown, Sr. and Peggy Ann Cain Brown. Carla formerly worked for Heilig-Meyers Furniture in sales and customer service. She later worked as a personal care nurse in Myrtle Beach, SC. She loved watching movies and before her health declined, she loved cooking. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents Carla was preceded in death by a brother, Dwayne Blackmon.

Surviving are two daughters, Erica Nicole Churchwell and husband Dakota of Elberton and Kayla Foster of Griffin; grandchildren, Luke Horton, Kyleigh Foster and Izzy Gortman; brothers, Tony Brown and wife Britt of Brooks, Greg Blackmon and wife Tracey of Tryon, GA and Chris Blackmon of Rome; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorials be made to Eagles Way Church, 100 Hudson Road, Griffin, GA 30224 in memory of Carla.
